Myrtles Plantation

Location: 7747 U.S. 61 North, St. Francisville

County: West Feliciana

Property Type: Historical Site; Bed & Breakfast

Haunting Activity: APS members were among those investigating this property in May 2002, and they experienced several things during their overnight visit, including windows opening on their own and footsteps. More details may be found in the APS Investigators' Group.

Activity Reported By: Previous and current property owners, employees, visitors and guests

History: With a main house over 200 years old, the Myrtles Plantation is not short on ghosts, and they include Chole, a house-servant hanged for the murder of two children who also haunt the house, the children's mother, an attorney, a surly caretaker and more.
