Loyd Hall Plantation Bed & Breakfast

Location: 292 Loyd Bridge Road, Cheneyville

County: Rapides

Property Type: Bed & Breakfast; Historical Site with Tours Available

Haunting Activity: The sounds of a piano and a violin playing have both been heard, tables set for dinner are found to have been rearranged, furniture is moved, food is smelled when none is present, walls are felt vibrating, screams are heard in the night and more.

History: An antebellum mansion, Loyd Hall has been home to the Fitzgerald family since 1948. They share the space with the home's builder, William Loyd, who was hanged there by Federal soldiers during the Civil War. Other spirits appear to include Loyd's niece Inez, who committed suicide after her fiancé abandoned her.
