Haunting Activity: Among the reported activity are the sounds of children, mysterious cold spots, uneasy feelings and more.

Activity Reported By: Previous property owners, residents and guests

History: On June 10, 1912, Josiah Moore, his wife, four children, and two overnight guests, both children, were found murdered in the bedrooms of the Moore house in downtown Villisca. There were numerous suspects in the gruesome murders, but no one was ever charged, and the murders officially remain unsolved.
