ghost A form of apparition, usually the visual appearance of a deceased human's spirit soul.
ghostbuster A person who removes a ghost, poltergeist, spirit entity, or spectral activity from a haunted site.
ghost hunt As defined by the Adsagsona Paranormal Society, a hunt is an informal attempt to simply sight or record paranormal phenomenon in a location known to or similar to others known to produce paranormal activity. Time commitments and team numbers vary. While more loosely structured than an investigation, APS investigative protocol will be followed as applicable to the situation, with larger groups being split up into smaller teams in order to maximize participation.
ghost hunter A person who searches for, finds, and sometimes is able to identify apparitions or the cause of spirit activity.
ghost investigation As defined by the Adsagsona Paranormal Society, an investigation is a carefully controlled research project, set up to collect evidence of suspected paranormal phenomenon or to record paranormal activity. It requires a professional attitude and dedication to detail and will require a minimum of two to three hours to complete, frequently occurring at night and sometimes going until the early morning hours. Occasionally, investigations require an overnight commitment. Team numbers are strictly limited. Full investigative protocol as set forth by the APS will and must be followed. APS Investigations are closed events, limited to dues-paying members of the APS in good standing and trained in proper evidence collection.

ghost seers The belief that people born at a certain time of day or on certain days possess the clairvoyant power to see ghosts and things that other people cannot see.
ghost sickness The belief that ghosts can cause illness and death.
goblin A small, ugly, evil spirit.
gray lady A gray lady is the ghost of a woman whose death has been caused by a loved one or who died while waiting for her lover to return or appear.
gremlin A small, pesky spirit, generally friendly in nature, given to mischief and pranks involving electrical and mechanical equipment. Gremlins appear to be particularly fond of aircraft, and they were first acknowledged by the British Royal Air Force in World War I after pilots on dangerous missions reported seeing misty, goblinlike spirits in their aircraft.
guardian spirit A personal protective spirit often thought to be an angel.
